While you travel in Dallas, Texas, it would be an absolute crime to miss out on one of the world's largest shopping malls. NorthPark Center, Dallas, is much more than an enlarged version of your local shopping mall. It originated as the single largest indoor retail market space, and still remains a class apart from its competitors.
NorthPark Center stands over a 97 acre area, and includes a whopping 235 stores over its three levels. Since its expansion was completed in 2006, the mall has become a square building - completing and mirroring the previous L-shape it held. The park in the center of the square is a wonderful place to sit down for a short breather in the middle of a shopping marathon, or to kick up your heels after an exhausting day in the mall.

The art at NorthPark Center is an integral part of its "mall-scape" - the images displayed on the walls include works owned by David J. Haemisegger and Nancy A. Nasher, and more contemporary or 20th century works from the Raymond and Patsy Nasher collection.
NorthPark Center is easily accessible through Dallas' Rapid Transit system, as well as through the NorthPark shuttle, which runs every 20 minutes and is complimentary. It is also quite close to the Dallas museum of Art, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and other tourist attractions. There are several hotels nearby, so accommodation is quite easy to come by.
