
Intro to University of Dallas: History, Practical and Professional Programs
The University of Dallas is a Catholic co-educational university located in the State of Texas in the city of Irving. The city that has a population of 150, 000 residents on the northwest boundary of the city of Dallas. The campus that is only 10 miles from the Dallas-fort Worth International airport, 15 minutes from downtown Dallas and 40 minutes from Fort Worth, has a Western intellectual tradition based curriculum. The university has a program going on in their campus abroad in Rome, Italy.

The University dates back to 1910, initiated by Society of St. Vincent de Paul that took the name of Holy Trinity College until 1955, when Bishop Thomas Kiely Gorman was encouraged and backed by Sisters of Saint Mary Namur to announce this institution as a university. They started accepting students from then onwards for a four-year course with 96 undergraduate courses and a graduate school to be added later.

Currently, the university has 121 full-time faculties with 71 departments, and two campuses, Irving and Rome. The university also offers undergraduate, graduate, masters and certificate and doctoral programs.

They offer various certificate programs that will help in making progress in career. Some of the programs offered are SHRM certification, Project Management Institute certification, certificate programme in information security and organization specific training programs on leadership skills, emotional intelligence, etc.
