Children's Theater

One of the USA's greatest achievers in the field of theater for children and their families is the Dallas Childrens' Theater. As of today, the number of its patrons stands at a staggering 270,000 - including children(usually between the ages of 5 and 15) and their families or guardians.

In October 2003, the Theater reopened after a large-scale renovation costing $8.6 million, and inaugurated the Rosewood Center for Family Arts, spread over 58000 sq feet in area.

For parents wishing to give their children a taste of child-friendly theater, the Dallas Children's Theater is the perfect place to visit. In fact, the Theater is in such demand among the local schools that it has scheduled three matinee shows every week, which are exclusively for school reservations.

The Dallas Children's Theater aims to give children the opportunity to witness plays about various societies and cultures - the plays presented deal with a wide range of subjects, serving an educational purpose as well as recreational.

The Dallas Children's Theater hosts shows from 7 30 pm on Friday nights, on 1 30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and again at 4 30 pm on Sundays only.
