
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
This 66 acre botanical garden is a nature lover's paradise. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical gardens are a must on every Dallas Texas travel itinerary. The arboretum offers spectacular views of downtown Dallas skyline along with a view of the lake while you are surrounded by colorful gardens and many fountains. This view is especially spectacular at night when the skyscraper lights reflect upon the lake.

There are about 13 gardens in all and some of the most popular ones are:
- A Woman's Garden which has a brilliant pool that reflects the colorful flowers around it and overlooks a serene White Rock Lake.
- DeGolyer Garden is the place where you will find an awe-inspiring walkway that is covered by Magnolia trees.
- Lay Ornamental Garden has a beautiful setting of limestone walls that are surrounded by hundreds of perennials.
The garden also hosts a number of events and concerts each year. One of the most popular events here is the Dallas Blooms festival that showcases thousands of spring blooming bulbs, azaleas and many other colorful flowers.
With the backdrop of the White Rock Lake and lush green lawn as stands, music lovers couldn't ask for a better setting.
Starting from April 30 to July 30, '09, every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, music lovers can enjoy live music at the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. Some of the upcoming bands in July and September are Fast Lane, Hunter Sullivan, Le Freak and many more.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical gardens is open from 9am to 5pm everyday and is located on 8525 Garland Road.
